It is possible to create a new table of the visual database in an existing book (or directly when creating a book) from a CSV or XLSX file.
The table created will have the name of your file. You can change the name of your table later on.
Some rules must be respected in your file: the first line must contain the header of your columns, and each subsequent line must contain the corresponding values.
For example, the first line will contain:
First name, Last name, Email.
And the following lines the data:
Testing, Paul, email@example.com
To import a file in order to create a book, click on the button in the home screen.
To create a new table in an existing book, click on the to the right of the database part.
Then click on Import from a csv or xlsx file:
You can either click on the button on the popup window to select and import your file, or directly drop it on the window.
If you choose to click on the button, a smaller window will appear to enable you to look up your file in your documents.
Once you've chosen your file, click on the button.
